Taxi:

The most convenient option to get to Rishikesh will be a group transfer, which is included in the cost of the course, provided that you are traveling with a group arriving with the trip organizers (Ranjot and Natalya) from Moscow. That is, if you are flying to Delhi from other countries and cities, you can select flights in such a way that you can wait in Delhi for the arrival of the main group and travel together for free, the same option with a return transfer upon departure.

Or you can book a taxi yourself directly from Delhi airport. The journey from Delhi to Rishikesh takes between six and eight hours depending on traffic. We can also arrange a taxi for you. A one-way trip from Delhi to Rishikesh costs $70. This price will be reduced if we can pair you with someone else arriving around the same time. Therefore, if you are interested in a group or individual transfer, please let us know your travel details as soon as possible so that we have time to book the transport for you.

Train:

You can travel by train from Delhi to Haridwar, it will take about five to seven hours depending on the train you take the ticket for. The cost of a train ticket can vary from about 10 to 20 dollars, depending on what class you are you are taking. From Haridwar you will need to take a taxi to reach Rishikesh. We can arrange a taxi for you. Cost about 20 dollars. Please let us know your travel details as soon as possible so that we have time to book transport for you.

Airplane:

Flights fly from Delhi to Dehradun (Jolly Grant Airport) at very affordable prices. Often prices are cheaper than taxis. The flight takes approximately 45 minutes. Students often find cheap flights on www.skyscanner.com. Then from Jolly Grant Airport you need to get to Rishikesh and it will take another hour by taxi. Please inform us of your travel details as soon as possible so that we have time to book transport for you.

We offer comfortable rooms on the territory of our school ( with private bathroom), 3 vegetarian meals a day, filtered water (we recommend students have a reusable individual water bottle), herbal and ginger tea, study guide, neti kettle, pen and notebook.

We try very hard to prepare for you tasty and varied food that provides a satvic diet. However, it can be difficult to please everyone. Although we recommend that you eat what is on our menu, sometimes you can eat outside of school. If you plan to eat outside of school, please inform the front desk in advance. For example, if you plan to dine at a restaurant, please notify us by lunchtime. Rishikesh is a vegetarian city, there are no eggs or meat on our menu (although some cafes have eggs on their menu). Please notify us in advance if you have any food allergies/sensitivities.

Spring (March to April):

The best time to visit Rishikesh. The air temperature does not rise above +30 degrees during the day and does not fall below 20 degrees at night, bright sun without rain. March has the best weather for rafting on the holy Ganges River, and the international yoga festival takes place in Rishikesh in early March. Due to this, many travelers arrive in Rishikesh and March is the busiest month of the year!

Summer (May to June):

June is the hottest month, temperatures rise to 35 degrees and above.

Monsoon(from July to August):

It rains quite heavily in Rishikesh at this time. Rafting is closed due to rising waters. Temperatures are similar to June, but rains provide relief from the heat. Crowds of tourists tend to decrease at this time, which also contributes to a relaxing and enjoyable holiday.

Autumn (September-mid-November):

Also the best time to visit Rishikesh. The air temperature does not rise above +35 during the day degrees and at night not lower than +23 degrees, bright sun without rain.

Winter: (late November to February)

The average temperature at this time of year ranges from +19 to +25 during the day and from +5 to +9 at night. January is the coldest month. We recommend that visitors bring warm jackets, socks, a heating pad, etc. You can also buy a heater in various parts of the city for a small price. There is no central heating in India. At this time it is quite cold at night and early in the morning, but during the day it is warm and sunny.

Spring (March to April) and Autumn (September to mid-November):

since at this time the temperature is very comfortable, take summer clothes with you, but there is wind early in the morning and late in the evening, so take a windbreaker or fleece sweatshirt with you, as well Sometimes in early March (the first week) it can be cool, so keep this in mind and take warm socks, a sweater and a cap, as well as pajamas for sleeping.

Summer (May to June):

Try to wear loose cotton clothing and avoid synthetic fabrics to avoid sweating. We do not have a dress code but we request you to keep in mind that Rishikesh is a holy city where women are advised to keep their shoulders and knees covered. A scarf or stole may be used for this purpose. Also please be aware that for bathing in the holy river Ganges You must take a spare set of clothes (sundress or dress) do not swim in the Ganges in a bathing suit.

Monsoon (July to August):

It will be the rainy season at this time. Don't forget to bring appropriate shoes (in addition to your sandals, closed shoes). The clothes you should take with you will be the same as for summer, but in addition you can take a small umbrella and a raincoat.

Winter (late November to February):

put on clothes in sequence (T-shirts, sweatshirt, warm jacket) So that you can easily take them off everything is unnecessary when it gets very warm in the afternoon. In the evening and at night, the wind rises and it becomes cold. Be sure to take warm socks with you to practice, your feet should always be warm. It’s also good to have warm socks for night sleep.

Necessary personal hygiene items; two color photographs size 30*40; payment receipt (you can show us from your phone, laptop, etc.); Computer/tablet; bank card (when making payments this is usually the most favorable rate); flashlight (power cuts are common in India); shoes - sandals, flip flops, sneakers; all the necessary medications that you use in everyday life and know that they are suitable for you (antihistamines, medications for intestinal and gastrointestinal disorders, headaches and colds), sunscreen, a reusable water bottle, a towel.

If you forget something, don’t worry. Everything can be bought here and quite cheaply.

We do not have a dress code for the class, but we ask you to dress decently for classes in the yoga room and walks around Rishikesh.
